What end-to-end encryption means here
Sealed from you, to whoever you meant it for.
When you share a file within MEs, it's encrypted on your device before it travels, and only decrypted on the device of the person it was meant for. In between — in transit, at rest — it stays sealed. No one along the way can read it.
That's the point of end to end: the two ends are the only places the file is ever in the clear.
Local-first — your data on your device
It lives where you do.
MEs is local-first. Your MIND — everything you've imported and made — lives on your own device, not on someone else's server as the source of truth. You keep full ownership: it doesn't depend on an account staying active or a company staying online to remain yours.
Multiplayer worlds are uploaded so others can join, but the heart of what you carry stays with you.
